Laura Celis Black is the founder and owner of Triada International, training and consulting organization dedicated to Emotional Intelligence Education in the fields of Cross-Cultural Psychology, Transformational Leadership, and Family Systems.  She is a certified Master Emotional Intelligence Practitioner and Coach, Cross-Cultural Trainer and marriage and family educator, and provides services both in English and in Spanish.  She partners with global corporations to develop multicultural teams and minimize cultural risk, as well as with non-profit and grass-roots organizations such as schools and churches addressing teamwork, leadership and personal growth.  She has developed cultural adaptation programs applied to Oil & Gas, Engineering and Pharmaceutical organizations, and has worked for some of the major community services providers in Texas such as the Catholic Arch-Diocese of Galveston-Houston, AVANCE, the Greater Houston Healthy Marriage Coalition, the Houston Hispanic Forum, and the Learn English Ministries.  She is also the founder and moderator of “Parroquia Virtual Venezolana”, a faith-based organization for Venezuelan immigrants and expatriates.

 

Ms. Celis Black is an active member of the Houston Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), Houston Coaches, FIGT Families in Global Transition, and HITA.  She is a board member of the Greater Houston Healthy Marriage Coalition and chairs the Hispanic Healthy Marriage Initiative.  She has a degree in Architecture from “Universidad Central de Venezuela”, an MLA in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas, and a Master Trainer Certification from LEAD, Six Seconds and ARC.  She has conducted research work on Emotional Intelligence and its Co-relation with Academic Success and Community Involvement in high-school students, and has been part of the validation teams for Bass’s MLQ, Salovey’s MSCEIT and Six Seconds SEI.

Laura Celis Black fundadora de Triada International, provee servicios educativos en Inteligencia Emocional, Psicología Intercultural, Liderazgo Transformacional, y Teoría Sistémica aplicada a Ambientes de trabajo y a familias.  Está certificada como “Master Practitioner y Coach” en Inteligencia Emocional, Educación Intercultural y Diversidad y como Educadora de Parejas y Familias, y ofrece servicios tanto en español como en inglés.  Trabaja conjuntamente con corporaciones para desarrollar equipos multiculturales y minimizar el riesgo cultural, y con organizaciones comunitarias y sin fines de lucro como escuelas e iglesias, con las que trabaja en formación de equipos, liderazgo y desarrollo personal.  Ha desarrollado programas de adaptación cultural para la industria petrolera, farmacéutica y de ingeniería, y ha trabajado con algunos de los grandes proveedores de servicios comunitarios de Texas entre los que se encuentran: la Arquidiócesis Católica de Galveston-Houston, AVANCE, la Coalición para Matrimonios Saludables, los Servicios de Familia de la ciudad de Houston, el “Houston Hispanic Forum”, y el “Learn English Ministries” del condado de Fort Bend.  Es también fundadora y moderadora del grupo Parroquia Virtual Venezolana, una comunidad de fe que agrupa a inmigrantes venezolanos.

 

La Sra. Celis Black es miembro activo de La Sociedad Americana de Entrenadores y Consultores (ASTD), la Asociación de Coaches FIGT y HITA.  Es miembro de la directiva de la Coalición para Matrimonios Saludables de Houston donde lideriza la “Iniciativa para la Comunidad Hispana”.  Es Egresada de la Universidad Central de Venezuela como Arquitecta y Urbanista, y posee una Maestría en Psicología de la Universidad de St. Thomas y Certificaciones como Entrenadora de Entrenadores de las organizaciones: LEAD, Six Seconds y ARC.  Ha realizado investigación en el campo de Inteligencia  Emocional y ha participado en la validación de tests como MLQ, MSCEIT y SEI.
